Title: Business Development Manager – Merchant Funding, MCA

Location: New York, NY

Overview:

Our client, a leading direct funder in the alternative financing industry is currently searching for a Business Development Manager to add to their team as they continue to grow. They are looking for a dynamic, talented individual who takes an entrepreneurial approach to form the role of Business Development Manager. This individual will help build a resilient book of quality relationships to approach, win over, and lead throughout the on boarding process. The role will involve connecting and communicating with ISOs, Underwriters, Funders, and Merchants. The position reports directly to the company founders. 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact between prospective clients and the Company’s sales team who will start new ISO relationships and other financial partnerships
  • Solicit new clients as potential revenue opportunities through inbound leads, social media Salesforce, and trade shows
  • Assist the Development team in developing and maintaining relationship with the Funding partners
  • Traveling to conferences to meet clients face-to-face and to facilitate their on-site experience and represent the Company at selected conferences and other MCA venues
  • Building relationships with qualified decision makers at prospect companies
  • Following up on ISO’s on approvals, contracts, product changes, and being the first point of contact

Requirements:

  • Must have Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years’ relevant work experience in sales, business development, or similar field preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
  • Travel required
  • Strong follow-up and time management skills
  • Professional, persuasive, and positive driven attitude
