Title: Director of Sales – Financial Institutions
Location: Remote
Overview:
Our client, a leading fintech provider to banks and credit unions, is looking for a strong, motivating, and empowering sales leader to join their team. The Director of Sales will be responsible for defining key sales metrics, managing sales activities and sales process, meeting with prospects and clients, analyzing and reporting on sales data, designing effective sales strategies, and influencing the marketing of company products and services.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate employees and drive results. Ultimately, you should have an in-depth knowledge of the financial institution market, vendors and trends and have excellent relationship building, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Building and developing a first-class sales organization
- Collaborating with marketing on key strategic initiatives to drive sales
- Identifying where improvements can be made in current sales processes and developing sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals
- Recruiting and hiring sales staff and partnering with Human Resources to develop sales training programs
- Managing sales and relationship managers with a focus on delivering results
- Outlining and managing sales budgets
- Reporting/Forecasting sales pipeline
- Setting quarterly and annual sales goals and coaching and motivating the sales teams to achieve their goals
- Monitoring the market and competitor services and activities
- Reviewing client activity, anticipating consumer needs, and improving client satisfaction
- Creating sales reports and providing feedback to the leadership team on sales goals, strategy, and initiatives that will drive growth
- Establishing and maintaining key client relationships
Requirements:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a sales leadership position, preferably in the financial services industry
- 4 years’ experience working in a selling role
- Bachelor’s Degree – Preferably in a business-related field
- Established network in financial services
- Ability to set goals and hold individuals accountable to their sales metrics
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Great strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills
- Strong working knowledge of the company’s products, competitive products, and the market
- In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques.
- Confident, extroverted, self-starter with excellent decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results by coaching and motivating your team to meet and exceed annual sales goals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain strong sense of urgency, flourishing when under pressure and working well with multiple challenges on your plate
- A powerful communicator and relationship builder who is skilled and persuasive at selling ideas and results-oriented
