Title: VP Product – AI/ML Decisioning Platform
Location: San Francisco, CA or Remote
Overview:
Our Client, a leading provider of AI/ML Decisioning Platform solutions, is looking to add a VP of Product to their Leadership team. They are searching for a seasoned product executive, thought-leader in Payments, and skilled listener and motivator who can work with some of the industry’s leading data scientists and customer success teams to lead their product strategy and vision.
This product leadership role is highly visible and cross-functional, requiring regular communication with your peers in leadership, and the senior Executive team. You will have the opportunity to leverage your proven success developing and executing product strategy for a world class, highly-scaled platform, and apply your strategic and analytical approach to a significant problem and opportunity statement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall product strategy and vision
- Communicate to senior leadership, as well as cross-functionally, the vision, roadmap, and product KPI’s on a regular basis
- Guide sales and partnerships teams on the Company’s product strategy and its implications for customer acquisition and client delivery
- Become an expert on the Company’s customers and partners and their potential use cases for the Company’s platform
- Build business cases for new initiatives
- Establish yourself as a thought leader on artificial intelligence and fraud prevention in payments
- Drive the definition and delivery of the entire product strategy, the supporting processes & systems, and build and lead a team of A-players.
- Engage and listen to the payments industry, hold in-depth knowledge of using artificial intelligence for predicting fraud and other behaviors, and align the Company’s offering with upcoming needs.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in the Payments industry, with a proven understanding of payments risk
- Proven, and measurable, track record of delivering differentiated products to the market
- Ability to analyze nuanced customer feedback, usage data, and competitor positioning and the ability to draw carefully crafted product solutions in response
- Ability to think strategically in terms of what the market need is and how the Company is best positioned to meet those needs given their unique set of capabilities
- Demonstrated use of machine learning and deep learning with large data sets to predict outcomes for large payments organizations
- Ability to write detailed requirements which can then be expanded into user Executive Communication
- Ability to simplify complex topics to the key points to be communicated with strong messaging skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with geographically dispersed teams
- Adept at communicating up, down, and across an organization to proactively inform key stakeholders in the format best suited to the audience
- Strong interpersonal skills both internally (across teams) and externally with clients to gather market feedback
- Comfortable with pushing back through leading, influencing and coaching of other key stakeholders to ensure integrity of the product roadmap, including technology leaders, sales executives, customer success leaders, and subject matter experts
